Winner - University of Newcastle HDR Festival
Congratulations is extended to Elizabeth Ditton, CRI’s Wellness Intervention specialist, for winning a prize at the University of Newcastle’s first ever HDR Festival! Eighteen HDR candidates presented their work at the School of Medicine and Public Health Expo on Thursday 30 June and Liz was presented an award for an outstanding presentation in Clinical Sciences titled ‘Assessing the efficacy of a Psychological Flexibility Skills training app for medical student burnout and psychological wellbeing”. Well done Liz!
The presentation was based on findings from CRI’s BiSi Project - Build it. Sustain it.
This intervention uses established psychological methods to empower future doctors to strengthen self-awareness, choose adaptive responses to challenges and stressors, and engage in values-driven and personally meaningful behaviour.
